Over the last year, I have been working on a new book called "Unwind with a Glass of Smoke." The title may be confusing, but the content is not.
Before I began writing this book, I had steadily reviewed the scientific literature on medical marijuana as well as its more exciting counterpart liquid marijuana from the United States and from labs in other countries that were doing some remarkable research. After doing all of the research, I was excited about liquid marijuana and simultaneously discouraged by the way we have been terribly and systematically misled for decades in the United States. I now see how liquid marijuana could be integrated in an acceptable manner into everyday society.
Yes, it's true that marijuana only creates addiction in about 9% of people versus cigarettes and tobacco products which is as high as 30%. Yes, there can be some withdrawal symptoms in a minor people which can include insomnia, anxiety, and nausea. But, this is a far cry from those that suffer in greater numbers from the withdrawal.
Marijuana can and will replace alcohol once the stigmas and misinformation are removed and we begin to look at the drug honestly. I hope this book starts us on the path to better understanding.
